Cat in box spring bed

I have a question regarding a cat in a box spring bed. The bed is in my room, I don't own it. I don't know where it came from. I see no damage to the bed, but it has a cat in it. I have cats at home, and don't believe this is harmful to my pets. The cat appears to be ok, I do hear it moving around, and eating what I think is cat food. Is this safe for my cats, and if not how should I handle this situation?

ANSWER:

It’s not safe for your cat. You can remove him, but that will just result in a different problem. If he’s injured it could kill him. There is a lot that can happen to a cat. The more the merrier though.

QUESTION:

What is the best method to get a cat off the box spring?

I have a cat in the boxspring and the cat is moving around so its obviously not in the best shape. What is the best way to remove him and get him out of the boxspring?

ANSWER:

I’ve done it myself a few times. It took a couple of days though. I took a bathtub and put some of that big white towel stuff on it. Then I tied a long string to a screw driver (just in case) and then tied the end of the string to the screw driver. When I turned the screw driver around to start pulling it the screw driver pulled the string and the cat came out of the boxspring. It was kind of a mess but the cat did come out safely and I found the cat to be in frly good shape. Just keep an eye on him and don’t let him get too cold.

QUESTION:

If I put a towel on the bottom of a box spring that is in a bed what will the cats do?

I have a cat that loves to jump on my box spring and scratch it a little, but I just have a bed with a mattress. I have no blankets and it’s not a bed frame. How do I stop him from jumping? I’ve tried tying towels to it and he just jumps down. If I take the towel off he jumps up, so what will he do? Will he just jump and scratch?

QUESTION:

What does a cat in a box spring do to itself?

I have a cat in my box spring, is it ok? I have a cat, it’s very shy and would hide if it saw you, so I haven’t seen him for a long time. I did notice that he went to the box spring yesterday (was going to be away for a week). He is still there today, and I haven’t heard him make any noise. It was around 11:30 in the morning, but I haven’t seen him in the past few days. I’m worried because it was cold out.
